When I found this beautiful wallpaper, I felt inspired to create a bedroom mood board around it. The final result is a mix of old and new elements, with a warm and cozy vibe—English country style blended with traditional cottage influences.

These two projects came to life out of a need for specific furniture pieces, using what I already had on hand, and sticking to a budget. Both of these DIYs are built around a plain Ikea piece (the IKEA Havsta cabinet). Spoiler alert: they turned out even better than I expected. And since so many of you loved them when I shared them on Instagram, I’m breaking down all the details in this post.

This is the first space you see when you walk into our home—and although it’s changed a lot over the past five years, it always felt like something was missing.

Adding the fireplace completely transformed the vibe of the room. It’s hard to believe it wasn’t always there! The brick brought in so much warmth and character, and having a proper focal point finally tied the living and dining areas together.
