A beautiful and organized entryway closet

It was almost the end of last year and we couldn't continue working on our kitchen renovation because of a delay in our cabinet delivery so I decided to start a “simple” and fast project, our entryway closet. This space as most of our closets were neglected since we moved in into this house the year before. As most of you who follow me on Instagram know, we were mostly focused on the big projects in the house, we barely out any energy on organizing all the closed storage spaces. Good thing they are “hidden” Why should I care when I had walls to paint and flooring to install, right?

This closet needed some serious organization! So I decided it was time to table this space and my goal was to use as little money as possible but be able to create a big impact. Beauty and function!

I used mostly leftover materials from previous projects. Installed brick inside the closet, to be honest I have no clue why we didn’t do that in the first place when we renovated the laundry room.

I painted the whole closet this beautiful almost clay/peachy color called spiced Brandy by Behr which I happen to have already in storage, added a couple of shelves at the bottom for shoe storage and 1 additional shelf at the top to maximize the closet space using common pine boards I got at Home depot, added beautiful baskets, replaced the cheap plastic hangers for these pretty slim hangers from The container store and we had a brand new entryway closet that actually works so much better for our family of 5.

Lower baskets hold things we use everyday like hats, beanies, masks, sunglasses, etc. Top Basket is for additional storage of items we don’t use often.

If you wonder where I put all the things? Donate, donate and put the things back where they belong -And remove some just for the pictures ;)-

What do you think? Simple but it works!
